This past weekend we honored a number of individuals at St. Mark’s at our annual Masonic Veterans’ Program. We thanked those members who had served or are serving in the military along with acknowledging our Special Ladies, or the widows of those members that have passed on.
Bro. Richard Nelson, pictured at left with MW Stewart Aronson, Grand Master of New Hampshire, received his 60 year certificate. This award acknowledges sixty years of service to the Fraternity and is an achievement few obtain. He was surrounded by many of his family members who gave him a new apron to mark the achievement.
Along with Bro. Nelson our current Master, Wor. George Chapman was presented with the Major General John Sullivan Distinguished Service Medal in Bronze. This award is given to those Masons, who in the eyes of their Lodge, deserve special recognition for the service to the Fraternity, Community, and our Special Ladies. Wor. Chapman, pictured at right was joined by his wife and one of his grand daughters while he received the award.
The evening concluded with a dinner which included the collection of canned goods which will be donated to local food pantries.
